It installs directly into your ceiling using a 4 Ā½ā cut-out, with the outer edge of the light laying flush against the ceiling. This light is dimmable, allowing you to control the brightness with a dimmer switch if you have one. This white LED light uses an 18AWG three-wire connection with pre-installed quick-connect clips - White, Black, and Green. Installation and wiring instructions are included with this light. This recessed light is Type IC and Type Non-IC compatible, meaning this light may be installed in areas that do or do not have direct contact with insulation. This versatile light is even suitable for wet locations.
