Flair-it fittings are pretty great. Unlike the plastic insert fittings that need a crimp ring and tool to properly apply it, these fittings don't need all that extra stuff. They have a flared end that is inserted into the tube and a screw end to compress the tube over the end. This creates a bond that can withstand up to 90 pounds of pressure and doesn't even require any plumber's tape to do so. If you would like a tool to help out with the installation, though, we do have a wrench available. Just make sure you don't use any kind of lubrication to try to help with the installation. In addition, you don't need a different size fitting for the PEX tubing vs the gray tubing. These pipe fittings work on both and create bonds of equal quality.
